My Journey: Balancing Crohn’s Disease and the Slot Queen Channel

When I started the Slot Queen channel, my goal was simple—share the excitement of slot play, bring people along for the wins and losses, and hopefully brighten someone’s day. Over time, this channel became more than just a hobby. It turned into a community, a family, and a place where we could connect over the joy (and sometimes heartbreak) of spinning the reels.

What many of you may not know is that behind the scenes, I’ve been fighting a personal battle for years—Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s is an inflammatory condition that affects the digestive tract, and for me, it has been a constant and unpredictable part of my life. It’s caused severe pain, fatigue, and it’s taken a toll mentally, too. There are days I feel like I can conquer anything, and days when even getting out of bed is a victory.

Running a YouTube channel is more work than it may seem—filming in noisy casinos, traveling, editing videos late into the night, and staying connected with all of you. I love every bit of it, but Crohn’s can make it incredibly difficult to keep up. After a lot of thought (and a few tears), I made the decision to cut back on my upload schedule so I can focus on my health.

This wasn’t easy. I love sharing videos with you and spending time in our community. But I’ve learned that if I don’t take care of my body now, I won’t be able to keep doing this in the future. Sometimes, slowing down is the best way to keep going.

I’m incredibly blessed to have a strong support system. My husband is my rock—always by my side whether we’re at a casino filming or at home on a rough health day. My kids give me joy and keep me grounded, reminding me of the bigger picture in life. And my mom has been there through it all, offering love, encouragement, and that special kind of care only a mom can give.

And then there’s all of you—my Royal Family. You’ve wrapped me in prayers, encouragement, and kindness. You’ve celebrated my wins, both on and off the slots, and stood with me during the challenges. One of the hardest parts of Crohn’s is the mental battle—living with constant uncertainty, trying to stay positive when your body feels like it’s fighting against you, and pushing through the frustration of plans that have to change. Your understanding and compassion during those moments mean the world to me.

This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be here, still sharing my love for slots, still laughing, still chasing those bonus rounds—just at a pace that allows me to take care of myself. Thank you for being patient, for understanding, and for being such an important part of my life. You truly are my Royal Family, and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you.

Danielle. There will only be one Slot Queen. We will celebrate you and any positive momentum you generate. Even when that means slowing down to show up for you and yours. Be well. Thank you for such a thoughtful post!

You, your health and your family comes first. We are all praying for you, the Lord will watch over you. You may have days where you will battle, just know we are here, by your side, battling with you. If your body needs rest, then rest. We are not going anywhere, we are here. If I can help out in any way please let me know.

Love and prayers
